[identity profile] aaronlisa.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] writinggoal
Welcome to the first official weekly sign up post at [profile] writinggoals. This post will remain open until Thursday December 1st. Members are more than welcome to sign up for to participate both weekly and monthly. (December's sign up post can be found here.)

Remember the purpose of the community is for you to set yourself a weekly writing goal. At the end of the week, you'll check in and let us know if you met that goal. If you have, you'll be given a shiny banner for your user info.

01. Try to set yourself a reasonable goal. Remember that this is a weekly goal. If you think you can churn out 50,000 words in seven days, great. However we ask that you be realistic with your goals.

02. You can write original fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc.

03. In order to participate for this week, you must sign up at this post.

04. At the end of the week, we will have a check in post for you to provide your weekly word count. We will also have a feedback post for those members that would like to share what they've written and get some feedback.

05. Remember we're here to help each other out. Be respectful and polite to one another.

01. Need a word meter to keep track of your word count, you can find one here.

02. Looking for some inspiration? You can try our prompt post. Alternatively, there's the Random Word Generator.

In order to sign up, please leave a comment with the following form filled out:

Part of the form does ask what type of writing you'll be doing this week, please remember that the only thing that we ask that you commit to is your word count.
